Traces:
Form is our theme.
From group discussions the theme ‘Form’ has lead to all different aspects and areas within itself.
Within Form’s you can have Lineation, Contours, Evolution, Mutation, Metamorphosis, Molding, Silhouettes and Influences.
Layering of memories has been a hot topic in the group. Through origami and laser cutting of fabric is where we see this evolving.
Collective memories shall be shown with embellishment of items both old and new.
Technology and recycling will be big influences with the collection and give an innovative response to the theme Traces.
Jackets:
The recession was still Topic A in the front rows, but the designers brought plenty of persuasive distractions with this seasons must-have biker jacket.
Fixation was very much on youth, so it was only fitting that denim would turn up all over the runways.
The eighties is the decade that fashion won’t forget. From strong angular pads to rounded puff shoulders and extreme futuristic shapes this season will be a shoulder stopper.
The embellished jacket has made a definite return, most often in the form of military style. But it doesn’t end there, the glammed up, sequined and beaded jacket has made a strong impact and has been embraced by designers across the board.
The classics were back in full force—even rule breakers Christopher Kane and Prada had double-breasted jackets, while Ralph Lauren went with tweed. In risky times, nothing spells security like a Burberry trench or a Chanel suit.
Clothing:
As shown in the jacket board, Fall is the season of the leather biker jacket, but Spring will be the season of the super-fine leather tee.
Marc Jacobs led the eighties revival with an unapologetic dose of New York nightclub nostalgiaor.
Gucci's also went after-hours glam via crystal-studded minidresses and sharkskin suits.
Designers went completely drape for Fall.
Both miniskirts and jodhpurs came swagged in silk and no outfit was complete without five, six, or seven mix-and-match layers at Missoni's nouveau nomadic show.
From notice-me prints to subtle new takes on uniform dressing as well as body-con you could say anything is in this season.
Colour:
Through looking at Peclers and trend colours for Spring Summer 2010 we have chosen the following colours:
Sherbert Pink
Lush Violet
Sharp Silver
Dark Coral

Biscuit Cream
Everyone from Donna Karen to Chloe are using Ivories Nudes and Soft Pastels this season.
